What Hesperidin is Used For / Its Proposed Benefits

Hesperidin (or hesperidin extract) is often marketed / studied for a variety of health-promoting purposes — though with varying levels of scientific support.

  • Vascular / Circulatory Health: Hesperidin is widely used to support healthy blood vessels, improve circulation, strengthen capillaries and reduce capillary fragility, thereby potentially helping conditions like varicose veins, venous insufficiency, hemorrhoids, and swelling in legs.

  • Antioxidant & Anti-inflammatory Effects: As a flavonoid, hesperidin has antioxidant properties — scavenging free radicals and reducing oxidative stress — and may help reduce inflammation.

  • Support for Circulatory-Related Disorders: Because of its vasoprotective and micro-circulation supporting properties, it is used (often in combination with other flavonoids like Diosmin) for chronic venous insufficiency, leg ulcers, hemorrhoids, and other venous/vascular issues.

  • General Wellness / Antioxidant Supplementation: Some formulations include hesperidin for general antioxidant support, possibly to support cardiovascular health, reduce inflammation, and promote overall well-being.
